DEVOTIONAL — EASTER: COVENANT, POSITION, AND PRESENCE
Monday — Easter is not a remembrance, it is a positioning
Key Text: John 3:16
Reflection:
The problem is not that you do not know the story of Jesus — it’s treating it as something distant. The cross was not an event to be remembered, it was an event to redefine who you are today. If the resurrection does not change your way of living, then you only have information, not revelation.
Practical Application:
Prayer:
Lord, take me away from a historical faith and place me in a living faith. Amen.
Tuesday — You were bought at a high price
Key Text: 1 Corinthians 6:20
Reflection:
You are not worth little — you were bought with the life of Jesus. If you see yourself as someone without value, you are ignoring the price paid. The problem is not lack of value, it is lack of awareness.
Practical Application:
Prayer:
Father, give me awareness of the value I have in You. Amen.
Wednesday — It’s not about you, it’s about who is in you
Key Text: Galatians 2:20
Reflection:
You have nothing good in yourself — this is the truth no one likes. But it is also not about you. It’s about Christ in you. When you focus on yourself, you see flaws. When you focus on Him, you see life.
Practical Application:
Prayer:
Jesus, teach me to live based on You, not on me. Amen.
Thursday — Presence is worth more than anything else
Key Text: Matthew 6:33
Reflection:
Mephibosheth understood something many people do not: it’s not about possessions, it’s about presence. You trade God for money, time, comfort — and then ask why you feel empty.
Practical Application:
Prayer:
Lord, I choose Your presence above any gain. Amen.
Friday — Stop asking ‘why’ and start asking ‘for what’
Key Text: Romans 8:28
Reflection:
Asking ‘why’ traps you. Asking ‘for what’ helps you grow. While you question God, you do not learn from the process.
Practical Application:
Prayer:
God, teach me to see purpose in everything. Amen.
